Two Islands, One Adventure

Bali and Flores are islands of ancient wisdom and fragile beauty, where culture, community, and conservation intertwine. In Bali, terraced rice fields spill down misty hillsides and temples whisper of ancient devotion. Flores, rugged and less travelled, holds a wilder magic, where remote villages cling to tradition and Komodo dragons roam volcanic islands.

Bali is a living canvas of rice terraces, ancient temples, and golden beaches, shaped by centuries of devotion, artistry, and connection to the sea.

Trek along the lush ridges of Ubud, craft offerings with local families, and immerse yourself in purification rituals at sacred springs. Feel the ocean breeze in seaside villages, where vibrant markets and quiet temples reflect Bali’s deep spiritual heartbeat. Whether wandering jungle trails, snorkelling coral reefs, or sharing laughter over coffee, you’ll experience the magic that has earned Bali its title as the Island of the Gods, a place where land and sea, nature and culture, exist in perfect balance.

Flores is a land of soaring peaks, timeless traditions, and extraordinary encounters with nature.

Step into the highlands of Ruteng, where mist curls through mountain forests and ancient villages hold the secrets of generations. Explore the mythical Hobbit Cave, marvel at spider-web rice fields, and stand face to face with Komodo dragons on islands adrift in turquoise seas. In Flores, every journey leads deeper into Indonesia’s raw, untamed spirit—a place where adventure, culture, and wonder are woven into the very landscape.

Hands-On, Heartfelt: Immersive Community Work in Tanzania

In the coastal village of Tejakula, Sea Communities is leading a quiet revolution to heal Indonesia’s reefs and empower local people. Founded to create lasting solutions for coral reef restoration, sustainable livelihoods, and environmental education, Sea Communities works hand-in-hand with villagers who once depended on destructive fishing practices for survival. Today, the reef is their greatest hope and their greatest responsibility.

As part of your journey, you’ll spend three days working alongside Sea Communities and the people of Tejakula. Learn hands-on techniques for coral restoration, including how to weave ropes and create reef structures that nurture new marine life. Plant corals at the community-run coral nursery, and witness the transformation of once-barren seascapes into thriving ecosystems. On land, you’ll explore traditional salt farming practices, join creative workshops making sea salt products and bath bombs, and dive into local culture through music, sport, and food.

This is conservation and community empowerment in action, and by taking part, you’ll be helping to protect a fragile coastline while supporting a village redefining its future.
